Do I need to be home during the waterproofing?
Not necessarily. For new builds and renovations where the area is already accessible, we can often work independently. For occupied homes, we'll discuss access requirements when you book. You'll receive real-time photo updates through the client portal throughout the day.
How long does bathroom waterproofing take?
A standard bathroom takes one full day for application. However, you then need to allow the membrane to cure before tiling can begin — typically 24 to 48 hours depending on the system used and conditions. The flood test adds another 24 hours. We schedule accordingly so your tiler can follow immediately after.
What Australian Standards do you work to?
We work to AS 3740:2021 for wet area waterproofing, AS 4654.2 for above-ground waterproofing membranes, and AS/NZS 4858 for wet area membranes. All certifications reference the specific standard applicable to each installation.
Why is your price higher than other quotes I've received?
Likely because we don't cut corners on product application rates, preparation, or documentation. The average waterproofing defect claim in Queensland costs over $25,000 to rectify. Are you licensed to work in both Queensland and NSW?
Yes. We hold a QBCC licence for Queensland and operate in NSW under Automatic Mutual Recognition, which allows Queensland-licensed waterproofers to work across the border without a separate NSW licence.
